E-Transfer is available by sending an email and it goes directly into the Club’s bank account. No secret word is needed. Payments by cheque can be mailed to Prince George Naturalists Club, PO Box 1092, Prince George BC V2L 4V2.
Memberships run from January 1 to December 31. Cost is $25 per calendar year for individuals, $40 for a family, and $15 for students. Benefits of membership: Subscription to the online version of BC Nature magazine, liability insurance coverage for Club work parties and field trips, and access to popular events limited to Club members only. Add $5 if you wish to receive a printed version of the BC Nature magazine in the mail.
“To be a naturalist is to be joyful, inquisitive, and at home in the world. To be home is to treat every life form as a family member.” – Marina Richie.
PGNC Next Executive Meeting
From September to June executive meetings are scheduled for the second Wednesday of the month. All members are welcome to attend the meetings. If you wish to attend, send an email to the Club to obtain meeting details.
Report: PGNC Caribou Viewing
On November 1st we had such a great trip up north to see the woodland caribou. 17 people joined us, and we were very fortunate to have Lauren give us an educational talk about the herd and the research happening at the site. Thank you so much, and thank you to all those who came with us! If you want to learn more about this project, check out the website: https://mlibwildlife.ca/. (photos by Angelina Joiner)

PGNC Nature Photography Slideshow and Social, Thursday December 11
Join us for a Club nature photography slideshow and social gathering on Thursday evening, December 11th, in the Jack Bryant Room at Studio 2880 (2880 15th Avenue), from 7 to 9 PM. Parking is at the back of the building; we’ll be on the PGSO side. Parking is very limited, so please arrive early to secure a good spot.
We’d love to see some images of what YOU saw that delighted you over this past year. This is NOT a photo contest, but rather a visual celebration of our natural world. Your photos can showcase any aspect of the natural world in our own area, or from anywhere you’ve been in the past year.
Contact Dave Leman if you would like to contribute any photographs to the slideshow and share a little about your nature adventures with the rest of us. (You can describe your own photos, or Dave can do that for you, as you wish.) You may submit from 1-15 photos in sufficient resolution to display well when projected. Your photos should be submitted to Dave either (1) by email in small quantities – 2 to 3 per email – to ensure they are received, or (2) send Dave a link to your photo collection using one of the file sharing programs Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer. To ensure inclusion in the presentation, your images should be received by Dave by Friday, December 5th.

PGNC Christmas Bird Count, Sunday January 4, 2026
